Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Incoming changes

Willow will be closed by 1st quarter 2019 - 800 people but only 500 moving to North or South

No more downtown openings (or very limited) to kind of make people hopefully move out of state

You will either move to Irving or Charlotte or will lose job

50% of ATSV will be relocated by 3rd quarter 2019. Rest in 2020.

Several contractors were moved to TX out of Willow. Still lots of people left. They are moving people in so they can tear down their cubes in North & South plaza and put up tables. Then they are moving people back. This table concept is the most stupidest thing I've ever heard. "promotes collaboration"....yeah right. Everyone has ear buds on all day so they can try to work. Can't hear people on calls. I don't want to be stared at all day by everyone. The sneezing, the smells, the noise.....it s---s. Aren't there some HR issues to doing this? I can think of a few. Definitely inhibits productivity. Just let us all work from home if you want to save money on office space.

Definitely something is percolating in Northbrook. Several management people have left and they aren’t being replaced.

Sorry but good management esp in middle of filled with junk jobs that produce no premiums or control costs. HR diversity environmental community carpe c-ap cost act fluff mgt act fluff “pick Allstate title of overstated abilities” and ksa fluff. Good. Get rid of 75% HO and focus on front line producers and cost control rest u in org exist off our labor. Sorry truth hurts.

Allstate technology is notorious for moving slow on anything they do. In fact, one of Suren’s goals is to change this practice by instituting ways to expedite tasks.

With this in mind, I don’t see any major relocations happening any time soon. Sure, there may be small pockets of resources moving to the various locations, but the notion of moving all of Willow within a 2-year window is outright ludicrous.
