Just imagine how money they are going to save by not having to match the 401K plans for the people let go, if this report is true. You must be on the active payroll list as of 12/31 to get your match in the MAP plan.

There are exceptions to the 12/31 rule. Read your MAP documents and appendix !!
It's been that way ever since DXC was created.... and I think HPE implemented it shortly before then. If you're not on payroll on 12/31, then you get no 401k match. Went from a quarterly match to an annual.
