Let me guess. You pulled so many 60+ hour weeks because you had this notion that if you worked your behind off, Seagate would acknowledge and reward your effort. All those late nights spent in the office while you missed out on life. What did it get you in the end? That's right. There is the door. Heck maybe you even used to think people who said this stuff were just trolls and Seagate was awesome and would never do what they just did to you. Threw you out like a used pair of shoes. There's some out there that still don't get it.
After Bangalore, IT SRC Penang is the next target ...
Very few companies can rampup a development center in Bangalore in about a year, and kill it about the same time. Kudos to Seagate leadership. Hope with all the site shutdowns and layoffs, they are lean enough to make big profits out of their big revenues and roadmap.
So points 1,2,4 and 6 already executed....brace up for 3 & 5. Though there's still more time!

Layoff started and severance is not that bad. They shutdown BLR as they want to colocate drives and systems business. Most of the developers are on notice up to October 31, with retention bonus.
I heard that today the layoff is already started in Bangalore office for RSS team
Looks like the only objective for Kn Clff*y is to keep shutting down the Business units!
What kind of business model is this were u get single digit hikes & your fellow colleagues from other BUs are celebrating with hefty hikes & bonuses!!
It has started in Bangalore and pune office. This week is the end for majority of the employee.
