Several emails from AVP level down are flowing - with some dates and confirmed locations(Irving, Charlotte & Phoenix "area". Nothing shocking or unexpected. Of the 3 I read, they all basically use the same language - in at least one paragraph, they use the same exact langue, indicating coming from higher up in CTS/IS/ATSV with HR

Viewing jobs on intranet? Do you see the corporate homepage or do you ignore it every week it features "what does a _ do?" And it's usually yes some assinine job that has nothing to do with insurance.

I’ve never encountered anyone with such contempt and hatred for fellow employees that have different roles than this poster. If you don’t do what this bitter guy does (meaning, you are in some support role),he views you as worthless. Maybe he should spend less time on the intranet viewing these jos, and more time doing his job.

I lurk but is this the CEO of CFO of our company. Yes, we all get business decisions are made economies of scale etc but ahole we have families that come first, and our loyalty is rewarded with a "business decision." Which makes logical sense but if you self righteous a-- were on other end you grasp idea of 1) being a loyal hard worker for your company for many years and 2) wanting to know as much as possible thru employee grapevine because corporate one doesn't not allow for advance notice understandably. Not sure I fully understand, if they aren't moving your job then why would severance come into play. If they are eliminating your job then that means your are basically being laid off - at some point - if you can't find another job internally. Which would suggest you'd get severance.
