A ton of people including me were laid off yesterday. A lot of older folks. I guess we are out of date or something. They are skirting the reporting laws by staying under the cap. This is really sad. At least I won't have to be around for the final count down. I don't think this ship has far to sail.
Anybody has more info on this? Are we expecting any more today or sometime this week?
I haven't heard of any lay offs in 2 weeks but I did hear there are still a lot more to come in September so we are approaching mid September. I imagine they will start again next week until the end of the month.
These are rolling layoffs. There will be more next week all the way through the end of September. Then there will be a break & more again before year end.

At least 10 bdms were rif’d on tuesday, 1 managing director, and 3 home office distribution resources. All over age 40. In addition, at least 10 Lexington and National branch personnel were cut including product heads, underwriters and service. FP&A, CLAIMS, FUSION were also hit this week. You also have to remember, if you had any opens recs for headcount they were closed out and you can't hire in most cases. It's good to know PZ can hire his brother in law and make him a direct report and pay him millions. I was laid off a while ago but still have friends here and feel so bad because the morale is awful.

Albany/Latham SC had two U/W's laid off on Wednesday.
There were layoffs in the Western Zone today - Underwriting.
i have not heard of any layoffs in the western region. I hope, for us all, that the rumors are just that....rumors.

Distribution was yesterday. All those let go were over 40.
I know there were more layoffs today-I heard an Underwriter in Chicago was let go and I am sure there were more. I hear Operations and Distribution are the targets now and for the near future.
Berkeley Heights had a layoff today. Hopefully that's it for a few months.
