Follett is going the way of Blockbuster, Borders, Redbox. Why buy when more and more of what students need is online? They really don't provide personalized service that saves the small independent bookstores- that quality was eliminated years ago.

Publishers are doing a pretty damned good job of making the used book business resemble buggy makers. Between rental only titles, loose-leaf publications sold with one use access codes and no bound versions available, the used book's days may be numbered.
There is no way the stores can survive without wholesale. Nebraska and Missouri have all the leverage power now and can cripple the supply of books to our stores which in turn impacts contracts and puts missouri in prime position to pounce on said contracts.
Valore wont save follett, itll just make WH richer at the expense of the Follett family. To be honest, I dont even care, they did this to themselves. The days of popping champagne will soon come to an end.
This is far more than just workers in ADC. This is all of wholesale and warehouse operations. Many departments will be reduced. If you had anything to do with wholesale at the home office/outside of the store, you will likely be impacted. Everything has moved to Nebraska. The Valore marketplace is just a gathering of buyers and sellers.
