has anyone cashed out?
my severance runs out next week, and I'm STILL unemployed. I will be out of money ad out of an apartment by next month. I was thinking about cashing out my 401(k). I could at least survive on that for a while until I FINALLY find a job. just curious if anyone has.
I cashed out. federal and Michigan state taxes added up to 7000. it still left me with plenty of money.
got a job at Target, too...things are looking up :)
have not filed for unemployment, yet. I was arrogant in thinking I could get a job right away...

Have not cashed out 401K. Was told that I had to roll it over into an IRA or cash it out. If you do you'll have to pay a lot of tax on it, but I guess if it is your only lifeline to survive, well, you'll have to do it.
Have you applied for UNEMPLOYMENT to get yourself by for awhile?
