I hope my pension is secure; I believe that it doesn't depend on the future performance of Honeywell. Is it too early to short HON stock? Making money on HON's misfortune would be sweet.

I think it will be at least 10 years before there is any impact on Honeywell employment.

I've been in the C&PS (customer & product support) side of Honeywell & they didn't really care what Boeing military dude thought as they were the only game in town and it would cost a fortune to develop, qualify and produce be HW.

I wish Boeing all the best!

I think they are tired of the poor customer service we have given them since Allied took over. Not only are they not giving us much new work, but now they are going after our old work.

That's interesting...if successful, Boeing could be in a position to be a major disruptor for both Honeywell avionics and now Honeywell APUs. According to the article, Boeing intends on throwing their hat into the APU market in its entirety; not just their aircraft. When you couple that with the pledge Boeing made last year regarding building their own avionics systems, this could spell serious trouble for Honeywell.

That is of course, assuming Honeywell even cares about this and is welcoming the changing of the guard so it can focus on connected aircraft, in flight WiFi and becoming a world class software company. It would be great to see Boeing take Honeywell's market from them because customers would truly benefit from it.

Boeing is a real company, not a facade pretending to be a real company like Honeywell is. Boeing is in a real fight with Airbus and recently, Bombardier to make the best product at the best price. Honeywells mission is to make Wall Street, dairus and the board filthy rich while making the most expensive and least reliable products. Relying on FAA type certs to stay in business was will only go so far.

The jig may be up within a few years. I'm getting the popcorn ready.

God I hope this happens!! I hope Boeing kicks Honeywell avionics and APUs off all their platforms forever. This is what HON deserves after so many years of piss poor management and treating customers like dirt.

I think you should make your message shorter, more cryptic, vague, mysterious, and pointless.
