I'm hearing there may be a reorg in Aero Electronic Systems biz. Anyone on the board offer any meaningful and relevant knowledge about it? Please keep it specific and on topic.

ES Org Update meeting with JE at 4pm eastern today
I expect to hear something tomorrow, I can provide more details once management is informed.
This is the last month in the second quarter. This is probably another desperate move to make the numbers.
Heard it also. Some managers are indicating privately that something big is going to happen next week implying that afterwards that there will be duplication of functions. Timing seems to be in alignment with some previously announced senior leadership retirements scheduled for mid month in ES. It also might explain why some smaller reorgs underway in ES are on hold for the moment.
Reorgs aren't in of themselves a bad thing. The purpose is to realign your workforce to be competitive.
With that being said, Honeywell is notorious for f---ing even the simplest thing up. I am sure that this is not a strategy to be more competitive, it is probably a way to use cheap labor with the guise of trying to help the company. Leadership is just trying to put more cash in their bank accounts.
I have been looking for jobs for a couple weeks now. I was hoping that I would be able to find one before we get laid off.
Something BIG is supposed to happen on June 5th
I hear Flight Controls and FMS merging, will be one huge engineering team. We a supposed to find out something Tues, Jun 5th.
Last I heard was that the announcement will be next week. Managers will get the information on Monday. Everyone else will get it on Tuesday.
Don't be surprised if there are some redundant positions eliminated (hopefully this means managers and not workers).
The company is going to put water on the E-organization, because that always works right
Anybody? Any updates?
"Footprint rationalization" coming at the same time.
I heard that India is going to have even a bigger role in Engineering. Making them run more of the show.
ditto. consolidation followed by more RIFs as they shut down all projects that dont have high enough revenue potential. kill the long tail. focus on the 20 percentvthat makes most rev. not on those projects? get a new job
There is a reorganization that will involve both Electronic systems and Connected Systems engineering staff. Many in Connected Systems will be moving to Electronic Systems. Announcements should be out the second or third week of June.
I heard it too. It is already happening. Some groups will merge
