I never had the priveledge of being asked to donate to the Honeywell PAC. Curious, nowadays how do they spin it ? Keep jobs in the US ? Just curious .

Honeywell has more than enough cash on hand to fund the appropriate lobbying efforts w/o using a PAC. However, it choses not to do so.
Honeywell started pushing the PAC at the same time as the previous chairman came in. Here is a history of past spend versus 2018 YTD spend.

I enjoy donating to causes that HON would oppose. When the pu**y grabber was elected, I dropped my contributions to the least amount. The lawyer in charge of Aero and the PAC emailed me and CC’ed the ESEA VP!!
The night before the 2016 election, our Phoenix PAC leads were dining with the local do-nothing tea party congressman. A congressman who holds no town halls.
Long time band 4 employee here..... Several years ago I was contacted regarding donating to the PAC. I told them that I was philosophically opposed to the concept of PACs. I was not pressured. And I don't think I've been contacted again. Still here. I don't have a feeling that it's hindered my career, performance appraisals or raises. I can only speak for me... but, it makes me wonder if there are other factors besides just the PAC that have impacted other posters.
I also stopped contributing at the last furlough, sorry, not in the budget anymore. Especially with higher health insurance costs.
Go here to see where your HIPAC money goes:

Otherwise known as "pay to play."
I contributed until i was furloughed a couple of years ago and read the email in the link. And yes i have since been harassed. (Am approaching retirement, career is over, don't give a 5hit)
My thought is that if one develops affordable, reliable products that customers want then one can grow without being a bottom feeding swamp dweller. But that's just me.
"Political Acton Committee " (PAC) yes US only.
They are a bunch of lobbyist living in Washington DC working to gain give business. Honeywell expects band 4 snd above to donate or contribute money to the cause,
Hope this helps.
Can someone explain what this PAC is? I never heard of it... Must be USA only?
But, how do they try to sell the PAC to you ? I assume that has to be script read to you ?
I contribute every day when I use the restroom and dump a DA
oh i just offered to give 10% of my merit raise. everyone got nothing ;-)
I was absolutely threatened to contribute. I did not and while I got my 5 rating I got significantly lower pay raise and MIP. Since I was a leader I could see via my team what the averages were. I should have recorded the call so I could have the VP fired
At this point who cares. Looking for a new job and will be giving 2 days notice on departure
If you are a Band 4 you are constantly pressured into donating to hipac. They say that your raise and bonus is not related to whether you donate or not you donate but it most certainly is. If you don't donate you are put on a list and constantly contacted until you do. The only reason i do is they match the donation you do to a charity....on the upside I get a 5hitty Starbucks card ($5) every year.
Why would I want to make a donation? After several years with little or no annual merit increase, reduction in bonus, decrease in benefits like health care, and a decrease in the HON stock price, that is why I would not make a donation if I was still working. Perhaps my RIF was somehow tied to my history of not making a donation. If this donation does help HON, it is only going to senior management.
You too can bribe lawmakers for the benefit of Honeywell's legislative agenda. In exchange for this, Honeywell will contribute a like amount to the charity of your choice, keeping the tax deduction for themselves. Too much money in politics as it is, and if it isn't obvious to you already, the best legal interests of the corporate officers have little in common with those of the workers. I always decline to participate.
By making your not-tax-deductible donation out of your paycheck, you can help stockholders and senior executives make even more money off the backs of 5he American tax payer.
