Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Good job search tip

LinkedIn is the source, your network is critical, and your positive profile is vital. A tip I learned the hard way: disconnect your leaders from your profile. They are most definitely monitoring you! Also, many hiring managers and recruiters know them. Having a mutual connection with a potential hiring manager who happens to have a bad experience with your connection is a problem. Cut them loose. They are dragging you down!!

This did not cross my mind before, but it really is a great advice. Posted it here for other people to see. Thanks, @Te0eYFg-hqj.

in malaysia linkedin is mostly for those non-critical positions paying minimal salary and company is too cheap to pay to post on proper jobsite

RE: Potential employer for ex-DXC staff?

1) The company that underbid your previous employer to get the account may hire you to do your old job at less pay. That's how they won the account in the first place.

2) If the account has finally figured out that much of what they pay for outsourcing goes into mismanagement and overhead, they may hire you to do your old job at more pay.

Having the leaders on your profile , just makes more connections. Any connection is a good connection.

It must be a very small town or you are talking of senior leaders who go to the same golf club. Many new recruiters have barely heard of DXC let alone the folk who work there, to have had any kind of relationship. DXC only hire grads anyway, as they're cheap and can be exploited.
