The compensation for employees and contractors needs at least a 25% reduction...get it in line with CNRL

Then the same should apply to the mgmt. drop their pay first, lead by example, if employees pay is high theirs is much higher based on crappy performance and bad decisions. Typical take shots at the employee that’s easy for HR types. What about your epic leaders???

The pay should not be above average given the stock price...the pay should be below average. This company needs another overhaul

Thanks for that post. CVE employees don't realize how good they have it at the expense of shareholders. Time to reduce the above average pay & benefits.

I moved on to a new company. Know that CVE’s pay/benefit package is above industry standards now. So enjoy the pay while you can. I’m happy elsewhere but didn’t realize how good my package was at CVE. There are opportunities out there. Keep your networks up.

These replies are a combination of HR statements, IR statements, fed up employees, ex employees, nosy reporters and trolls pushing their agendas. If you stop reacting to a bully, they lose their power. Same goes for this site.

Current negative employees are the issue because they cannot look beyond past mistakes, a cushy culture. Instead, embrace the new management team's excellent approach.

Fact is employees can be as innovative and hard working as possible and management will always make bad decisions. By all means blame the employees though. Idiot.

Once cve is past the hedges put in place by prior management, be fine. Those are hedging losses. Too short term focus. Most expire end of june. Read the last earnings report. On earnings call, they indicated get debt in order, then don't need hedges like that. Smart management.

Looks like employees had it too good. Seen this crybaby story at other soft companies that straightened things out.

What does anyone have to look forward to at this company?

  • Working harder to accommodate workforce reductions

  • Bonus reductions next year

  • Obtaining a shiny new cubicle

  • New and reduced vacation allotment

  • Limited training and development opportunities

  • Continued quarterly losses and budget cuts

When loser employees leave winner companies, like CVE, the company becomes a bigger winner! You must have accidentally posted on the wrong board.

Loser employees that leave a loser organization are winning employees

The problem is all the guys who made all the stupid decisions are still here on the CLT. I agree no sense being negative but it’s hard to put faith back in the people who made all these bad decisions. I try to be happy and just enjoy life though.

No matter how good things get, how successful the CEO becomes in leading the company and turning it around, losers stay negative. Leave and go somewhere else if you think it is so bad, then you can easily be replaced by positive employees. Will result in better profits for shareholders, the goal of the company (as it should be).
