Ha, ha, ha, ha...uh, Sugar Land. Uh, yes. A guy who was with Schlumberger for 43 f'n years, started out in Sugar Land in June 1975, devoted his entire life to this company, and was layed off on June 26, 2018!!!!! Get rid of the guy who has the most knowledge in designing and troubleshooting, the guy that was always conscientious of the cost of producing the tool, saving SLB money, always! And hey, how do I know all this. That guy, he's my husband!!
No layoff means they have fundamental issues running business, work force is cluttered and business is unprofitable.
There should be plan to reduce workforce without hurting business and direct client relationship.
It doesn't necessarily mean, layoff should be exercised again, but everyone must be replaceable for business to work.
Companies like slb have no choice to layoff people when time is right
This is SLB, they will stack management even deeper to restrict the new found "freedom" just created by the 2 group reorganization. You should know by now how the story goes. Hundreds if not thousands of those meeting makers there.
Which segment? Little Rock?
Cameron V&M is definitely screwed and its days are numbered. Major announcement to be made in July regarding a segment of V&M so stay tuned. The rest of Cameron is making Paal regret the acquisition.
Not seeing more layoffs in sugar land campus
Easiest way for management in here is to cut liabilities.
Easy bit not smart.
Layoff still going, it is really stpid if you listen to your manager that we are safe, we not plan to layoff anymore. Unless you are new rat.
You mostly now clear off.
Is this due to the weatherford deal?
Which employees are affected?
This is BS
Anything on the northeast
What about rosharon and sugar land?
