I am hearing lot about next round of layoffs in September. Is it true or rumours...? Heard that short list is being prepared again similar to last round of layoff.

It’s true. Around 2000 people will be leaving
Partner ACS 7.0, best small business system ever. With Mail 5.0, awesome little system. Easy to program and repair. Legends good until Magix in a tin can. Actually anything with a good backup worked. The old stuff rocked! Tech help will never be the same.
What about pune layoff? Is second round going to happen there too?
New York will be surpluses 2 in mid September, Baltimore 1 and Miami 1.
Find some greener pastures to graze
1 in Jersey IBEW and 1 in Georgia, 1 in Miami and 2 in New York. Baltimore should be ok but possibly 1 there too.
Why are mail forwarding guys needed ?? Aren't we going agile ?? To send mails like Jira count increasing , thank you, reminders etc etc.. and please bring in some decent techie guys. Oh n btw send someone techie to hire people who knows more than public n Pvt cloud.
Just heard the Tri state area will be declaring surplus of 6 total technicians in late September, information from Miami.
@TZLS7Lo-ivuz yes agree lots dead weight in Pune SV too, people who can't even answer simple question in all hands but just because of English ascent and number of year of experience glued to chair :) everyone in Pune SV knows who's this :)
Hope they clean house, lots of management dead weight.
Partner legend spirit...lol
Although if i had small business ACS is all u need.
I suggest moving level 4 techs that support CM7 to another title and continue to shrink the rest to fit needs. Evolution of the Cloud & competition driving factors imo. (Yes some mismanagement along the way)
Cheers
@TZLS7Lo-dwos thanks :) let's hope Avaya revenue grows, I heard meeting happened to discuss which product to continue? Anyone has updates?
"Revenue Per Employee. Revenue per employee (also called sales per employee) is a financial ratio that measures the revenue generated by each employee of the company on average. It equals the company's total revenue divided by the average number of employees for the period."
So it doesn't matter if a director is fired or a fresher is fired. He/She just needs to be on Avaya payroll.
all the fish references jeez
Halibut aka Halibit you are hysterical.
The partner Acs is making a comeback. Whoever can not grasp the programming will be let go.
Avaya cannot continue to shrink headcount just to artificially pump up financials. Company revenue is half what it was Only a few years ago. Partners cannot continue to absorb Avaya off loading its costs to them.
@TZLS7Lo-avrl this sounds good reason for September layoff but why it is count it should be budget? But our revenue looks good someone need to explain this year financial position of Avaya.
Reduction of 300-325 employees worldwide is required to maintain per employee profit ratio. So layoffs are evident before start of next Financial year. We are now public company and the books needs to be kept clean.
Google Romulus and Remus. Now picture Romulus and Remus as i don’t know... those with business degrees.
Over paid Executives will finally be purged!
15+ Bye Bye
Late September all techs with 40+ years will be asked to get a life.
Employee
I heard that anyone who works on Legends, spirits and partners as well as Com Key systems and merlin 206 and 410 will get promoted and possibly a new title along with contract extension. Anyone who is not proficient in those systems will possibly be cut loose. That's the rumor. Hoping its not true. Those systems are tough to learn. Feature 00 left icm 3x or something of that nature....
@TZLS7Lo-3btx hahaha are you joking? It's not at all possible that senior will tell anyone because even they won't be knowing before September. Don't fool the people or you may be not an employee of Avaya.
How many people are on your list? And which locations?
Shrinking and dying company. Poor management.
Yes it's true. I have spoken to my senior manager. List is ready.
This time count is also known.
Don't know then why Avaya investing heavily on Oceana, it would be soon unrecoverable losses compared to investment in last 5 years and revenue generation in next 5 years.
R&D teams in US and India will be definitely impacted.
In what titles?
