What's the effective date of the closure?

That makes sense, and is consistent with office closings in other parts of the country. You still have a job, probably with a longer commute.

There is no severance for the Torrance MCO as they have the option to join the Diamond Bar, Inland Empire or San Fernando Valley offices which are within a 50 mile radius. Qualified employees in the San Diego MCO will be eligible for severence benefits.

Severance, Find the Allstate TV business meeting June 2018 with Ken Rosen He answers employee questions and one was severance. His answer is yes there will be severance to affected employees. Find it and then ask the Manager that told you "no severance" and ask for an explanation as to why Ken say yes?

No, it doesn’t make it easier, but people should not be surprised going forward.

Also, this is not an out commercial real estate costs. There are many other places around the country with equal or higher costs. This is about the employer legal environment, employee litigation, and the precedent(s) that have been established by past litigation, in which some employees enriched themselves at the expense of this outcome.

TSxgTE6-1jyr - no surprise. But doesn’t make it any easier to go through.

TSxgTE6-1hzv Unfortunately I cannot uproot my family to Arizona. So I will be starting my job search now.

Very sad. California commercial leases are so expensive. Additionally, auto claims in the state have been a losing proposition for years now. Many businesses are moving to other states which are business friendly, such as Arizona. If possible, get your ducks in a row to prepare to move to Arizona. Otherwise, get your resume in order. No severance is like rubbing salt in the wound. So very sorry.
