What is the severance package that we are offered. Just out of curiosity.

The 30 days notice is true. Recently happened for people recently involuntarily separated in Morris Plains. They are waiting to see what the "package" is once the severage begins.
Current USA policy is minimum 4 weeks and calculation is one week per year of service. Other countries have significantly different packages
You can confirm by calling HR Direct or One-stop. It was posted in the HR Direct website but it was deleted. Last time it was deleted is when they pulled out the 60 mile clause as they implemented the No Work From Home policy. Since it is gone again they are probably changing it again. And I doubt it would be to improve an employee benefit.
Severance is not a law in USA and it could be ZERO. Most big companies are more generous than Honeywell but we all knew that already
Maybe some truth to drastic cuts in severance package at some sites. See Post ID: @T9vPjZA regarding DXC practices on small severance, monthly layoffs instead of larger, widely spaced ones, etc.
1gqy --- must be a troll. Do not pay attention to him.
-1gqy: Really? You have to be kidding. Honeywell can't be that cheap. With so small a severance package they'd have no leverage against people pursuing age discrimination lawsuits. The game has always been, take your severance package (26 weeks for old timers) and don't make trouble.
Heard that the recently RIF'd get only 30 day notice and then two weeks severance, regardless of your longevity. No longer 26 weeks max.
Thanks for all the encouragement. Seems like being let go might not be such a terrible thing.
Right Managements most valuable service, in my opinion, is the free resume update. To get a non-dated current to the times resume is invaluable in your job search. I did take advantage of their service, and seriously- landed a new and better job within a couple weeks of them finishing my resume. I thought my original was strong but their tweaks made a huge difference (I believe). I had, prior, submitted over 100 job applications with minimal response. Changed my resume and boom! Tons of responses and a legit great job offer.
Honeywell includes this free as part of your RIF. Take advantage!
Right Management is correct. They help with resumes, host webinars on various topics such as job placement, consulting, private insurance etc. I used them even though i have no interest in reentering the full time work force. Always good to have a resume in the latest format and expand your knowledge in other areas as required. They also offer a mentor to help guide you toward your goals. Even available if you self nominate.
@TEZk2s8-1jb I think it was called Right Management? Online counseling/resume help/etc. Like I said, didn't take advantage of it so I can't speak with any great authority.
@TEZk2s8-wjp what is outplacement service?
Remember if you do not have a new job, collect your unemployment at the same time (in AZ)
The Severance Policy is no longer listed on the HON "Benefits" site. Hasn't been there for several months. At least at Aero.
Maximum of 26 weeks, continuation of medical coverage during the severance period. Outplacement service that I didn't take advantage of, didn't seem very useful.
1 week for every year of service, with a min of 4 weeks.
That is it...no more vacation refund, no nothing. Just a GTFO and thanks for training your HGR replacements.
