Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Layoffs in twos and threes

I keep reading that people are being laid off each week in really small numbers. Two here, three there... Is this true? Or are people only trying to create unnecessary panic?

Frankly, I've heard about people being fired every week in those numbers, but actual layoffs? It's a bit hard for me to believe.

It's happening in SPS and I think it will continue as they eliminate jobs in the U.S through RIF and replace them in India

Happened recently in Morris Plains. Small actions not classified as RIFs. Numbers well below anything reportable for WARN. Affected both management and non-management. At least one affected had 30+ years in.

@2pve - nope. I just simply don't work there anymore. Nothing more, nothing less. Glad to be gone. Hopefully you all will be out of that sheet hole soon. Be aware there are many jobs available now, especially if you're willing to be a road warrior or move. Do it while you can!

@1rqe Are you an ALT or HR troll trying to find out who is posting on this site? Sounds like it. I know that bunch is paranoid about the posts. Too bad. It's part of the Honeywell Reality Show.

Oh, come on. The Aero site I was at had these types of small sniper attacks going on for several years now, at least. There's always a Grim Reaper walking the halls. Makes me think these posts are coming from Phoenix-area where you all got the bad treatment last, after YOU thought YOU weren't going to get it.

Welcome to the Honeywell Reality Show where everybody loses except the majority shareholders.

Slow bleed. Smart move for the company, prolonged terror for the workers. Of course that's what they're doing.

If you get tapped on the shoulder, just remember that your skills are your own, move on to the next adventure knowing it should be less stressful

Absolutely true. Honeywell has a smart legal team and as others have stated they are flying under federal radar by laying off small groups. No reporting.

You are not safe here! No one is. Get out while you can.

It is just as @G-aod states. Keeps it under the media and employee radar. Leadership thinks we won't notice and throw a fuss. This tactic switch began about a year ago.

it allows them to not have to report to federal or state about a mass layoff and it allows them to fly under the media radar and have to answer questions about "RIFs"
