The new CEO for the Homes spin looks like a strong leader. Hopefully he will come in and do a thorough review of the business and the current leadership throughout the organization and put together a team that can get the business turned around and send those responsible for the current state of the business packing. I wonder if he realizes what a mess he is taking over. For all of us that have a vested interest in his success, I hope that he does well.

There are no products to build on.
The greatest income was the out of the cheapest thermostats; now you only need Chichuahua to spew these out in vagonloads aaaand - done.
R say whatever you want, but the reality can't be bent.
Bangalore taking over the test equipment ? lol, packed all the lab contents to boxes, shipped these to india, and even today, it sits there, unpacked, wet.
HON invested to be a HW company for 100+ years, and just got to top, only to have it all thrown away. You won't become a SW company just because you decide to, hahaha. And while building HW was good from the point that it was much harder to steal, and you could honestly put a pricetag on it; good luck doing that with the SW.
Melville used to be a good site - but the last "great" item that came out was the AlarmNET infrastructure. Since then, it went fully downhill - indians, chinese started to pour it in tons, frightening mobile apps screwed the ratings everywhere (Homes - Lyric lol) . . .
And the Ademco in Brno? a bunch of losers, who sat down for a whole day, read news on the Internet, what a waste of air. Every now and then they have asked for a different position within Hon, and guess what, never got it. So much these people have been known for what they were.
So the grass is not greener anywhere; you have great people and the rest. India or not. No difference. The point is, that the truly good and smart people do not (and will not!) work for Hon.
Good that M Flink is out. Very toxic leader. First thing Nefken should do is replace him. Flink will sabotage with a smile...
Check out DXC. Threads on thelayoff.com. Nefkins is just another Darius. He isn't going to allow work from home. He is going to require people to relocate. Just listen to the double speak in the Q and A in the Homes town hall. Homes will be just like HON but with fewer sources of income to smooth out the ups and downs of doing business. Bottom line probably better off looking for a new company to work for
@-2ugm , totally agree with -2jzi, Also MF is not a bad guy if you are putting in the effort.
2ugm - It’s more like Honeywell has been dragging Ademco down for years. Actually slowly destroyed a good business
Melville shutting down? Good! Couldn't happen to a more deserving group of people. Ademco has been dragging Honeywell down for years.
Nefkens was slash and burn at HPE. If you're a higher paid employee look out.
LoL He was part of the sh!t show that was Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Don't get your hopes up.
2hxu - is this a reliable source or just a rumor? I'm seeing things that may validate this but it may be i'm reading too much into things.
I'm hearing that HQ will be MN and the NY Melville location is to be shut down. Supposedly they plan to break the lease.
Yea, MF is an abusive turd and thank goodness will be gone (hopefully).
The question I have is they keep saying they haven't decided where HQ will be and were waiting for the CEO to be named. The rumor has always been LI mostly because MF and his "leadership" team were based out of there.
With the new CEO based out of California (i believe) I wonder where the HQ will be. Heard rumors GV in Minn or even Atlanta near the current software center.
anyone have info?
More org shuffling = rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.
The new CEO has been making his business case to Rodger F and the Hon BoD for months. They don't pull people into positions like this without fully understanding the candidates business direction and vision.
Clearly Micheal Flink is out. He is in a bad position and the new CEO will replace him with his people. Probably more org shuffling to be announced.
