While US employees at AIG are laid off in droves, the company's filings for H1b for even such jobs as Business Analyst goes on unabated. Do you think you will convince anyone that there are not any Americans workers who are well qualified to be business analysts or financial analysts? So while they are showing you the front door, they are bringing in others through the back door.

It's one thing to send jobs overseas, that's legal. It's another to be doing RIFs en masse in the United States while at the same time filling many of those same positions through sponsoring H1B visas. The chart that was posted shows AIG filing H1Bs for jobs we all know many in the US are well qualified for and the salaries certainly appear competitive. That's a whole different ballgame that sending jobs offshore.
AIG 2020 is all about moving IT jobs and Shared Services to APAC. Non-technical CIO trying to cut cost and the only way they know how is to offshore and hire cheap labor stateside managers.
