Hub strategy as mentioned in Investors calls, earnings calls, and town halls, is basically roof top consolidation. They want more people co located. And in the process of doing that old people leave or are RIFd they get to hire new young low cost people. In an SBG a hub might be Fort Mill SC for SPS or Morris Plains for PMT. basically if you aren't working at a major hub your job is at risk

Investors call in February said full HUB strategy will be implemented in less than 5 years and they have $500 million set aside for restructuring costs his year alone which they haven't even touched yet (as of February call)

Once April 20th earnings call is done expect them to start " acting with urgency", and announcing if you don't move to a hub you are out of a job by dd/mm/2018

Whenever anyone thinks of the pinnacle, the capital of marketing greatness, Romania always comes to mind... for companies whose prime market is Romania. Honeywell will get all it deserves as a result.

To all ragging on @Sru2vo4-1eyf, that person may very well be a troll. Or, they may be a person of character, who does good things, even when no one is watching. Who knows. It's good to be good whenever you can. As for the Big red "H", they can s--- it.

2tka - Character doesn't pay the bills and your character and hard work didn't save your job. They didn't give two 5hits about you ...why would you care on the way out. They impacted your family, your income and your career and you're worrying about whats left behind and your dignity. 2 days after you are gone no one will remember you much less your dignity.

There's a lot of dignity and character in sticking it to incompetence on the way out. The complete incompetence in India will screw up what you did anyway....you should just help that along as you leave.

I don't understand the vitriol against -1eyf. We're in a bad situation, and for some of us, doing the best job we can while planning our exit is how we maintain our dignity. For me it is a matter of character.

You stay doing the job until it is convenient for you to leave, don't worry about what is left behind. Get another job as soon as possible and go!

Your skills and abilities are your own my friend, a month after you leave they will do it different claiming to make and improvement and screw everything up, something to be said about american skills

1eyf, I think I speak for most people on this board (and at Honeywell) when I say there's a name for people like you. ....An idiot. I get the "poor People" left behind BS. The company and the "people left behind" ARE the problem. If you think they and their leadership aren't part of the cause of all of this you're delusional.

I recommend no one listen to this company troll and do the bare minimums when doing KT...maybe even KT misinformation or how to do things wrong and even more inefficient or leave key parts out.

lastly to my troll friend....

Have fun try to feed your family after you are gone knowing you did a good thing for "the people left behind" because they will be feeding their family at your expense and the expense of your country.

Enjoy that.

@Sru2vo4-1cyw To each their own.

I was informed in February that I will be laid off sometime during the last week of April. Since then I have been starting my days much earlier than I would like, and ending them much later than I would like, to perform knowledge transfer (KT) to the India, Mexicali, and PR associates who will be assuming my tasks.

I do this not from any sense of loyalty to the company, but because it's who I am.

I admin a tools which are critical to the business and doing a crap job job of KT will only impact the people left behind when I go; and it isn't their fault that I got laid off.

Neither is it the fault of the offshore associates who are picking up my tasks.

This post is not meant to extoll me or judge you. It is more a call out to those in similar positions to consider the people their actions actually impact.

I will/you will be gone either way and the people left behind have no choice but to try and carry on. Nothing is served by screwing them as you leave.

Regarding marcom hub consolidation. I heared that by June everyone will be gone. Hiring in full swing in ROMANIA. most funniest thing is, these bloody people still want us to work hard and take all this positively and do the best evee transition. My foot.
