Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Punish DXC!

why all the whining and complaining? it's punishment time for dxc. whether you've been laid off or in the process, punish them! take up the fight and punish them. make an example out of them so that other organizations wont do the same to you again! do your part even though it's small.

Glassdoor, social media, and word of mouth are the best ways to inform others of the dangers of working with DXC.

Regardless, I don't think DXC really cares how it's viewed in the long term. As has been stated in the past, this is a short-term company that's going to cash out via divestitures, with the whatever remains being gobbled up by a competitor. DXC is a personal enrichment tool for Lawrie and his cohorts - nothing more, nothing less.

This is the nightmare Mike was having . The reason he looses sleep. A bad reputation never ever goes away . Never - EVER

Not sure there's much mileage in trying to 'punish' any large tech organisation. If the company has not met its obligations to you then by all means take action, but one of the downsides of the large corporates is that individuals or even groups of individuals are NOT going to change an organisation.

Outside of ensuring they meet their legal obligations, it is a case of either putting up with the situation or leaving.

Lawrie won't care either way...

Treat them like they treat you if your still working for DXC. ie Do as much Training as you can they do have good lilnks to good free training such as IBM etc and its the same content off course that you pay 1500 quid for.... Then when your ready push for redundancy and get a better paid job. I know maybe 8 - 10 people who have left via redundancy including myself in the last 12 months all onto better jobs.

As for saying nobody has heard of DXC in the areas of consultancy I am in they certainly have, and it aint good what they have heard but some of them still use them for what ever reason....

I will make sure I will do all I can to let people know what a company this is.

Give your feedback in glassdoor, so people are warned.

It is really criminal what DXC is doing - they do not follow any of the local laws in laying off people. They lie and sabotage you so you are not able to defend yourself.

One thing I am sure off... I will take them to court! I will check with labour parties if we can jointly go to the media so to spread the word. Also our government was informed but the party of the ministery is only follow capital and the big money, they do not care about the workers. Hope we can make them care when media will push them.

we need to make sure young people are aware of how they treat their staff, so they are not getting abused in the way they did with us!

I can understand that companies do fire people, but you need to do it with respect. Not taken people by suprise and put them at the door immediately (litarly), block their access, avoid what they need to pay...

Clients I meet, (mixture of SME and large financials) don't even know who DXC is. They know of all the big players accenture, fujitsu, cognisys, Tata, etc, but tend to want to save money and use mid-sized cloud service companies (which I would think is a Business risk, but clients like low cost, yet they hate poor service - go figure!). They prefer to buy in consultancy to help with transformation and then pay a low steady-state service with an element of consultancy to help them transform. Most of the clients use AWS as its easily configurable and scaleable - and user friendly and they run hundreds of VM's and clusters - like point and click remote management.

If I say 'I used to work for DXC' they say: "Never heard of them. What do they do?", "You don't want to know, believe me". Whilst the guys on the ground were good, the management structure is unstable and chaotic (from memory) and if my clients were to join DXC there would be endless 'left hand not knowing what right hand is doing' charges without explanation and....no, they just wouldn't want to go there.
