CTO out at AIG. Will drive trickle down change in IT.

It's okay I'm sure they will ask their subordinates what things mean since they don't have a clue about anything. Then this person will make huge changes, ruin things and then leave for a different job in a couple of years.
Never worked at a place where IT was so far removed from the business.
Completely dysfunctional organization. They reward and promote failure and bad ideas at the expense of success. Forget technical experience, very few actually know what the company does!
I would leave too if I were to be passed over for the CIO job in favor of someone who had zero IT experience! How does one of the largest companies in the world end up with a CIO that has no technology in her background. Amazing how little technology experience is in the IT leadership at AIG, Amazing!
