Thread regarding Nationwide (Insurance and Financial Services) layoffs

Nationwide - Not On Employees Side!!!

Round one yesterday with the claim department. More to come as they move towards the good old "desk model". Watch the customers continue to flee as they deal with inexperienced claim "processors". Todays customers deserve more as they continue to see their insurance premiums rise. Greed is the bottom line here for a company that has over 100 BILLION in surplus, but hiding behind the old "business demands change to service the customer." Meantime, let's continue to add layers and layers of Directors and AVP's. Disgraceful but glad to be gone.

I agree. Totally disgusting company. I was on a company wide webinar during the BLM riots in 2020. The COO and CEO told white employees to take black employees that they didn’t know out to lunch! To tell them that ‘we’ feel their pain and we’re sorry! WTF. Disgusting!!! I recorded the whole meeting! Yes, I have the video, the proof!

I worked for Nationwide for 23 years starting in the late 80s in California. It was a great job,,, at first, until the bought Allied Insurance. Then EVERYTHING CHANGED. In 89 I was employe of the year. It was like a family run business.
Later in my career I worked for Home Office and the was a horrible. I retired because of an illness and boy did they try to F..k me. But I didn't let that happen. They are just bad news

This layoffs, as Squealer in George Orwell's Book, Animal Farm will say: TACTICS. The layoffs are not necessary but Rasmussen plans on retiring next year to an artificial profit is being created, thereby he can leave with a hefty bonus. Once the next CEO comes, possibly Mark Berven, the jobs that were eliminated will be replenished

Yes Nationwide is laying people off ! They are also looking for people to volunterly leave. I was a long time employee from Ohio and Scottsdale. Recently in a meeting upper management said they need to reduce work force by 20 percent. As people leave they are not replacing them and the work load keeps getting bigger and bigger....find another company plenty are hiring.

Worked at Nationwide for nearly 2 years in the Carolinas as a field adjuster. Thankful I was able to leave before this came down. I could see the direction they were headed. Praying for my friends this Christmas season who will lose their jobs.

Maybe Peyton manning can handle some claims: I accepted an offer from Allied some years ago, poaching me from another company, a Commercial Claims Specialist 3, I worked with outstanding people, Chuck Christian, Mike I am talking about you: and the team II was associated with was talented and devoted , then Nationwide crept in poisoned the , slowly poisoned the atmosphere, demanded mediocrity rather then excellence and we fled.

Wiped out the entire On Your Side Property field management team across the country. Reorganized from a team of around 50 down to 8. No way they will be able to provide the high service to their members that they promise with the old “we charge the highest premium, but our members get the best service”.
