can anyone share the bifurcation of layoff across Aura SV teams?
Slowly all the SV work will be outsourced. This will ceased to be exist internally.
All predictions about layoff in Aura SV team appears to be true.
What next?
According to the sources, the firm plan is in place to outsource the SV work.
As a start, the transition of SMGR SV and AES SV work will be carried out and then transition other SV work will follow.
If someone asks me, I will recommend AES SV to be outsourced first, and the manager in India leading the present team should be fired because of worst performance.
Does anyone have input on which product SV will be outsourced first? AES SV or SMGR SV or Presence?
Any idea how much the package will be worth for lay-off this time
Reorganization announcement will be made in about 3-4 weeks. This is when product discontinuation and layoffs will also be announced. After VP's visit, they have all the required data. Final calibration is being done.
Anyone know or predict about the layoff count due to outsourcing of SV work? In my view, it may be in the range of 15%-20%, as transition of work need to be carried out in phases. Any guesses?
According to Infosys contact, Avaya have released letter of intent to Infosys about outsourcing contract of Aura SV work. And the actual contract is expected to be signed during 1st week of March.
Infosys is way ahead in presenting their proposal to grab outsourcing contract to take Aura SV work.
These are assumptions or based on any specific info?
Asking this because, Pune Leadership may not dare to make such a big disruption, specially when Avaya just came out of bankruptcy - unless direction is coming from US leadership.
It make since to move SMGR SV , SM SV and PS SV work in first phase as these programs are easy for knowledge transfer and then in next phase, other SV work can be transfered.
Today, we also heard that most of Aura SV work will be outsourced by end of May.
Aura rather CM SV was with Wipro before it was moved in house. I doubt they it will be outsourced again. The costing just does not make sense. And if there is any outsourcing happening it will most probably to to TMA not Infosys.
