I love your list of advantages and couldn’t agree more. I am now to the point that if i am not on the list, I will be very upset.

Advantages to layoff from WAS Job.

Get to leave my home for work for the first time in 4 years

Able to get exercise walking around an office/hospital

Having the motivation to dress in anything other than PJ's

Not have to eat at Chez Maison everyday

Meeting non familial people

Free up space in my home

Talking with people face to face

Lower utilities for the time I am at work

Wear and tear on Company building, not my home.

No ringing doorbells and home phones

No sense of obligation to do chores during breaks.

Reason to go shopping for clothes,

Chance to drive that really nice car you are still paying for

Less pressure to work when you are sick. Work at home and you are sick? Whats the big deal?

Start to recognize trees and grass outside

Increased exposure to Vitamin D.

Have time to mentally prepare or unwind during commute.

Lower internet costs

Kitchens for breaks which you don't have to clean.

Not Feeling guilty for getting a child minder while you are at home.

There must be many more.
