Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Costco looks like the way to go

I see your beloved company is at it again. My company is and will always be above and beyond anything that Sams and Wal-mart does. All Wal-mart does is come in and steal what we have already mastered and thats why they (Sam's) will always be 2nd rate to us. Yes if you have worked at Sams its harder to get on at Costco because of all the crap they filled your head with and its hard to get you going in the right direction. Watch and see someone on here that has given everything to this company will still defend them even though they are no use to them anymore. Sad thing here is you choose the wrong company and we would of loved it if you would of come to us all those many years ago when you started for them. We are not laying off my company is looking into putting clubs into areas that your company just shut down and we can show you how to make it a successful club. There may be hope once they are built and you can finally join a winning team who actually does treat there employees with respect and not just some words written on a board and hung in the break room.

Well said, I'm a accounting team lead that was smart enough to take the severance, after 28 years with the company. They are competing with Amazon, and good luck with that. They are missing out, as far as Sam's. To many small business depends on Services like this, welcome to the future business Costco, get your fax and pull ready, because Sam's won't have the help or member services.

Is there any reason you had to put this on here, it's all about what people might loose their jobs and you had to sit down and write a lengthy post about how your company is better. We don't work for Costco so why should we care what you think?

If Costco's brings in clubs where we closed clubs and associates were able to get a good paying job with Costco we should only be happy for them

He was right some idiot defended this company. I believe the public feels different you might want to look at the difference at stock prices. The company we work for is classless. I wish there was a Costco close enough for me to switch over to.

No u guys are second in everything. Sam's is low cost on alot more and better product. So take your bull crap somewhere. The management and staff is all like a family. Rather than turning against each other like I see every time I am dragged in there by my grandma. It's not a environment I would like to shop in. Sam's is.
