1njm - Actually you infer a lot about me in your post. You must feel you are in my head. I simply provided a light hearted response with a definition of sadistic to Bri g a bit of levity. The previous poster asked “ what is sadistic?” I provided a joking answer. Maybe it wasn’t funny, but you can keep your judgement of who I am to yourself. Telling others not to judge by jumping to conclusions &.... judging 🤔 no villains here either.
@1njm. People are upset because they were told nurses were the future of hah. Aetna wanted Humana bc of hah. Don't question telemodularity with job security cause the two have nothing to do with each other. Hah reduces hospitalization rates/fees by 40%. Hah nurses save the company money. I'm not saying people should be vengeful bc in the end it is a business and the business puts themselves first. And I'm not saying that in a negative way. A business has to put themselves first to survive and thrive. But people believed the above so some of the statements may be out of anger. Losing a job is stressful. And anger is part of grieving process. Your reply def makes you look like you're in upper management though. Let's just remember for some people, this can be detrimental to their well-being.
@RvaLSwA-1opm And who is getting pleasure from this? Are you in leadership's head? Do you know what they are thinking? No you don't! You are just bitter and need to make someone the villain so you feel better. No villians involved. Just tough decisions that have to be made in business. You would not be happy any way they did this. You appear to be a very unhappy person who probably always sees the glass as half empty and complains all day long. Here's a suggestion. Keep a gratitude journal and look for anything positive right now no matter how minute. Write down 2-3 things every day. It will truly change your outlook and help you see opportunities you didn't see before. Or can hang on to the anger and wallow in self pity. Your choice.
This is better than a last minute warning like the first two layoffs in 2017. Everyone complained then about the lack of transparency. So, for these past three layoffs they have give between 3 - 5 weeks advance notice. Yes, it's stressful but I would rather have a heads-up than be blindsided. It's given me time to plan.

I didn't get one either, but think I think I am going to take one of those new courses on learning a new trade. I think I will take up dry walling so I can help hide all of Humana's skeletons.
