Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

FCM future? Does anyone know if they are planning to make cuts to LTIH again?

Does anyone have any information about possible cuts to LTIH? I think FCM positions are safe this round but I am curious about the next 12 months.

We are still business as usual in my network. Has anyone heard any further news about the fate of network FCM RNs?

The last layoff round in November we were warned by Coach22 that there would be layoffs in the LTIH department and they were correct. Coach22 did not predict the exact date, but gave a ball park estimate on the timing and they were spot on. I wish Coach22 was still around to offer insight and I did appreciate the warning before the last round. Thank you coach22!

No one really knows anything, it's speculation based on bits and pieces of information and pure guessing. I hope you get to keep your job, you should be a little nicer...js

What happened to those who were certain HAH was going strictly Network because it was so much cheaper? Just goes to show not everything written in here is correct

Yes, network FCM here. My agency was not honest with me but I saw the writing on the wall THANKS to this board. I started applying for jobs in November and was able to secure a new positions. I know everyone thinks RN's can easily find jobs but when you haven't been hands on clinical for a long time it really is harder. Don't depair, I must have filled out 15 applications, had call backs for three so far. I took the first one that offered me a job. I have no idea if my agency was cut but I know I haven't had any new referrals in a couple months and all mine are headed towards telephonic. I wish you all the best of luck. Just apply for everything you think you may be interested in first. I started applying around Thanksgiving, interiviewing in December and secured a position in January. I think the holiday's slowed things down a bit. To ALL who posted on here with updates THANK YOU a million times over. You saved my finanical future!

All networks have been informed that they are at least on the chopping block. Many have already been cancelled. But not all, they are still waiting to find out who makes the final 2 cut. My source is an upper level administrator for one of the networks that's still waiting to know. This source is 100% reliable. They did not give them any kind of time frame to expect when they would be told, just "soon."

Have ALL networks been notified? I would hate to think I'm being lied to. Will the cancelled network companies also have a 60 day notice?

FCMs are nurses and social workers.

Thank you so much for elaborating, @1nuh. Truly appreciated. The lack of answers and responses from CMN and leadership about what is happening with the network is telling. They say the network ‘will be affected’ by ending of LTIH-4, but silence when asked for details.

Network IHCM here. My leader swears they have heard nothing regarding network cancellations . No transparency or communication here either.

@1qtj, they are actively cancelling network contracts now. Have been for a few weeks now. The ones not cut yet have been told that there will only be 2 when they are finished with the cuts, but haven't been told which 2 yet. So the larger networks are scrambling to be picked. I'm not sure how many networks they had previously, but I understand it was a lot. Many of them were small companies that didn't hold very many member contracts, some are very large. Most of the ones cut already were the smaller ones.

-1hku — are you able to elaborate about the network being reduced to 2 contracts? Timeframe? I can see that happening, and RIF the majority of the network LTIH CCLs.

In our meeting, it was stated that LTiH would be cutting back by April.

I would recommend taking your VTO & personal holidays now

They are cancelling all network contracts except 2, so it seems pretty obvious they are cutting back significantly on ltih as well as all rolls in hah.

I think LTIH will also be on the outs. They want skilled nursing and I am sure those skilled nurses would be hired by Kindred.

I don't recall anything being said about LTIH. Are the FCM's RN's? Since this change is pretty much Humana At Home... meaning I think the direction is going to be In home care, I'm predicting you are safe...
