Fraudulent unlimited vacation benefit

What a bunch of bull. There is no such thing as unlimited vacation at honeywell. Each COE has a vacation budget. If an employee go over his standard yearly allocated vacation period he/she is called out for excessive vacation time. Only real change to the vacation policy is that if you leave the company you lose your payment for previously earned days. This is fraudulent 'bait and switch' in its most basic terms. Should be investigated by the government.

Hey everyone. It is a gig economy. Quick Honeywell and do some freelance work online, start an E-Bay or Amazon business, do part-time garage door installations on Craigslist, start a biz helping old people fill out paperwork, etc. Working for wages s---s and working for wages at Honeywell s---s even more.

Believe in yourself and your ability to survive & thrive with Hon in your rearview. I did it and you can too!

My COE in AERO is requiring us to work 45 hours a week—of course unpaid overtime—to “make up” for the vacation and sick time we will take. This is basically robbery.

I am a very long time Honeywell employee and one thing is for sure: Honeywell asks us for sacrifices during the bad times but also never shares the good times. Anyone in Aero legacy Honeywell remember the $100 jackets we got one year? That was their idea of sharing mega profits. And now they take away our vacation and sick time, our MIP bonus is halved, and jobs continue to go to India.

If you’re a troll wondering why I’m still here, I invite you to find a new job at a senior level when you’re an over-60 woman in tech. And yes, I have updated skills, but no one wants to relocate “old people”.

Vacation was already denied on a “must-win” program at the end 2017. When Darius misses the numbers, there will be many more “must-win” programs/projects ahead.

Don’t know about elsewhere, but in California if you have “unlimited vacation,” an employer cannot limit it unless they can prove that your performance has suffered.

Hahahaha did you people really believe HON was giving us unlimited vacation???? This isn't Google. You are NOT important, or valued. You are a drain on dairyass's bottom line. The only reason they changed the policy was to avoid paying out unused vacation when they RIF people. That's it. They also wanted the ability to deny vacation when the business needs dictate. Welcome to Honeyhell.

Bs or not, I plan on taking my reasonable length vacation. The second they b--ch about it I look for a new job. The second I find something good I'm out.

True! And what about all the indirect people that aren't reporting their vacation and sick time? Their manager's should be held accountable. Creates an unfair playing field!!
