Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Honeywell "leadership"

So you think you have what it takes to be a senior director or higher level.leqder at Honeywell Aerospace? Well, let's go through a few questions to see if you are leadership material.

  • Are you narcissistic?

  • Do you have a pulse?

  • Have you ever thought "if we didn't have any employees here, things would be so much easier"

  • Do you consider yourself above everyone else?

  • If you could get away with it, would you consider pushing employees down the stairs? Hypothetically of course ;)

  • Do you enjoy sending emails and being in meetings all day everyday but never really accomplishing anything?

  • Are you good at speaking out of both sides of your mouth?

  • Do you feel that lying is perfectly acceptable, as long as you are the one who will benefit?

Lastly,

  • Do you feel it's OK to have zero accountability and find it necessary to blame everyone else for any problems?

If you answered yes to all of these questions, then were born to be a "leader" at Honeywell and by leader, we mean just the person who makes more than people who actually work; afterall, you deserve it! We are in constant need of "YES men and women" who don't waste time asking questions about why things happen and just make things happen. We also prefer to hire individuals who have little to no understanding or experience in the products or processes they are in charge of. If being overpaid while all of your subordinates are underpaid doesn't bother you one bit, we NEED you on our team. Please give us a call right now and let's get working on your golden parachute and obscene compensation package today!

OMG after seeing all the mechanical engineers who have worked for the company for years get rif'd today, this post really brightened my day. Unfortunately, it's not just aero with the horrible upper managment, its all of Honeywell. just waiting for the stock to crash since the products produced s--- and the the ones in charge have no idea about the business (but you said that already and very well I may add)

It’s fun to make you low-T betas cower in fear at your cubicles and later read your angry little miffs while I’m relaxing in my Sky Harbor office.

Not bitter at all. We are tired of getting f---ed over while the elitists in charge reap the benefits. We work hard and they get bonuses. We make this company revenue and they organize RIFs. What do we get? "Oh you're just lucky to have a job". Yea well that might have worked in Obama's econony but now, none of us have to tolerate this sh--. Not sure about anyone else but I want to see the Honeywell Aerospace business fail. I want to see it fail because failure is what happens when you run a business like this. That's what happens when you treat people like chattel instead of people. The rich get richer and we all get bent over. Many of us are sick of it, and we are making our voices heard.

Why is everyone so snarky, cynical and negative? Sure it all stinks. I went through the last 10 years of Motorola's decline in Phoenix before finally being RIF'd. Was lucky to bounce back, and then was again grateful to have a job at Honeywell. If things go south, I hope to bounce again--although with age it is getting tougher. I know one thing, if you are bitter it will show through in your next interview and what you fear may be what you get.

Sure they do! Look at all the Tesla's, Porsches and BMWs in the parking lot at sky Harbor. You think test techs or CSRs are driving $100k cars to work? The working class employees at HON are just trying to avoid getting RIFd by all the dipshit Tesla owners bent on securing their own income at the expense of everyone else. Working at honeyhell is like playing frogger with your career. Constantly avoiding outsourcing, then you move to avoid a RIF, then you move again to avoid more downsizing and outsourcing....
