He was in Canada too. Our site Edmonton is closing. Repairs will consolidate to Calgary

-liy I couldn't have said it better myself. The customers are the ones who really suffer with all of this. It's a good thing Honeyhell doesn't give two squirts of piss about customers!
-jml has it exactly right. I honestly cannot remember that last time a voluntary or involuntary departure was replaced at our site. It’s a slow withering of talented people with nothing left but a stressed out and overworked staff just waiting for the next hatchet attack. Our customers are left holding the bag with missed milestones, late deliveries and poor quality. But cheer up - aero had a stellar year and the best is yet to come.
We have it backwards. The people who are RIFD have it the best. The rest of us are still here picking up the pieces after each RIF. You know how many people are leaving and their roles aren't being backfilled? It used to be 1 out of 7 or so. Now it's closer to 1 out of 2 or 1 for 1. This is the new normal, folks. When your coworker gets canned or leaves you will be taking on their responsibilities on top of your own. If you don't, now you're in the elbow and you get RIFD too.
what groups are getting hit this week? any idea on numbers? Can we call him "little hatchet man" instead of rocket man?
