Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Are they RIFing people in the functions?

Looks like they have been picking off people in the functions (finance, IT) little by little since january 1.

I've also seen memos calling for a 20% reduction across the board for all SBGs, no exceptions (people, budget, contracts etc). Anyone else see this? Seems a little crazy

sounds like the people going to TS and Homes are the lucky ones and the people left at Hone are going to get the high hard on as usual. Good luck to all.

I was told 10% of corporate indirect had to be cut. Evidence by people from Corp Indirect team looking for jobs. In addition more costs of corporate will be stranded with the split. Heard more will be cut from corporate again as new TS and other Biz won't take in those costs

5ltg - wow...thats crazy. Ive heard they will continue taking cuts as well.

As for Sentience (sorry Honeywell Sentience because thats going to make a big difference) they really, really need to make huge cuts there or shut it down. it really provides zero value and is a huge money pit. it really is an embarrassment at this point. several years in, millions spent and nothing to show for it but more spending planned. Even GE Predix cut 30% in the last few weeks realizing it was a waste and they were way further along than the brain trust running ours.

sad....

We RIF some out of IT in both Corporate and within the SBGs. My total of the people I knew was about 15 and not one in Honeywell Sentience

I believe they intend to cut more during performance reviews so like plenty more before March 31

We were not told 20% but we were told to go back and review the budget and costs for every item and cut them to the bone. We are cutting to the point of futility and at this point you can't argue or debate it so cut away. I have my LinkedIn profile up to date which is the first thing I did after the holiday. Good luck getting 120% done with 10% less people and a lot less funding

Honeywell wants all ISC to be contract as much as possible. Get headcount, medical, other benefits, any pension, possible legal/HR problems off of their payroll. Specific sites/ departments will be targeted, employees will get option to work for new contract company or leave and look elsewhere, IMHO. Some leadership and technical positions will remain Hon. Toronto good example, roughly 40 people remain HON. Royalty model. Converting assets to cash now.

Ranting like a child? Hardly. Open your eyes. All you have to do is look at the history and the trends of HONs obsession with saving cost. Compare HON from 2005 to HON of 2018. Would you say things are improving or worsening?

Thanks for the reminder..... Honeywell sentience. the "platform" no one uses.....and should be shut down to save jobs of people that actually deliver something.

The last post was by someone ranting like a child. There is no evidence that ALL employees will be RIF'd. Things are obviously changing, but there is no reason to believe you cannot continue employment here if you truly want to. The question is WHY you would want to.

Any and all permanent HON employees WILL be RIFd at some point. HON is not interested in paying for retirement or health benefits. We will all be replaced by 3rd party contractors or people in Indiar. If only they'd replace the VPs and TM with 3rd party Indians.......

I do see functions having rifs as of late. A few people have mentioned on this board about Sentience and I think that theres true value in what they say. They really need to look at shutting that overpriced and worthless turd down. Huge savings with zero impact. Whole lot of no talent people working this thing that could just go away with no impact either.

GE predix just cut 30% of overall platform including people and they were far ahead of us. Why shouldn't we?
