Next are contract workers at the end of this month. Why don’t we have a union yet. The reps are standing by. We need one to protect our 401k and get better insurance. I know of several people who won’t come to work here because of the Benefit cost.

I remember Kevin from Glendale Space. That guy fired my friend George A . for political reasons. George had only 9 months to go to retirement. Enemy of my friend is my enemy .
Other than US government buying any and all WMD (used loosely to refer to military spending) who is buying anything Aero these days? And u r a software company now. Hopefully those who own stock have sense enough to sell high and buy low.
Do you have anymore details? Is this an across the board cut in Aero or specific groups?
Because you're not paying attention to what's going on. Simple as that. Management doesn't like to let it be known in advance because it's bad for morale, but if you're paying attention and not asleep, you'll see signs everywhere.
Thus was not the case for you. Time to turn off the TV and start paying attention.
