Trust me, your life is going to get 10 times better, mine did, Honeywell s---s now, but it’s great to have on your resume, and don’t listen to these negative morons, you won’t have to lie about being RiF’d to get a better job. You can get a better job than HW working at McDonald’s for Christ sake!
While I am certain it s---s to get fired I'm certain you'll find something better. Hell people got canned for doing shady $hit when it came out during audits I was involved with and I eventually heard they found better jobs at competitors.

@1uel. I was given that window a few months ago and applied for probably 15 different internal jobs that I was well qualified for. Good luck to you! I barely had any replies and when I did they kept using hiring freeze as the excuse to turn me down. I discovered that being band 4 $$ and over 50 was a huge detriment.
When they want to get rid of you, they will. Many of us have watched them RIF people that shocked us- good high quality people. It’s about money and nothing else.

I. too, was informed this morning that my position has been selected for elimination. I was given a window of time for transition, during which I can seek opportunities internally. Or not.

Thanks for the positive words. Sometimes there is no choice when you’re whole department gets outsourced. I know it wasn’t anything I did wrong except give my career to the wrong company.

Oh, and getting RIF'd isn't exactly a strong point on your resume. You're going to have to either lie or tell them you were one of the employees Honeywell decided they could do without.
