Cenovus layoffs = Shaw layoffs

If Cenovus offered up the same idea as Shaw recently did for their employees, what would the outcome be? 50% ask for severance? 30?

CVE mgmt would get a huge slap in the face much like Shaw - everyone wants out.

Who wants to work at a company where there is squabbling and zero communication between each other at the top, amongst incompetence - not you Alex, you’re great, honestly.

Get rid of DZ, or at least send him back to the field where he can fill in for one of the operators he will be sending packing soon. Thats all he is good for, if that.

Alex - you need to do something about the finance ordeal bestowed upon you last week. Everyone is waiting for it to be dealt with and communicated.

I have to be honest throw a package like Shaw’s on the table and I would go. And I’ve been with Cenovus since it was formed. It’s interesting seeing the difference between he two layoffs. One asks for volunteers and the other turned down volunteers. I suppose Cenovus can’t risk losing the wrong technical people but it’s too bad bc we now have people working here who (fairly enough) don’t want to be here.

At least 50% I'd say, that company quickly went from one of the best in the city to tje absolute worst. Zero communication, no accountability of management and the BOD who got us into this mess, horrible moral and image. When i tell people i work for CVE they feel embarrassed for bringing up the topic. I feel embarrassed telling them.

The actions by big N need to be dealt with and not swept under the rug, otherwise nothing has changed with this new CEO.

I agree, when are they finally going to integrate the company? Why is internal communication so bad? It’s crazy to find out info via the media before seeing something on INC. I don’t know if the DB can be saved.
