Severance package?

From what I was able to find in some of the threads here, people were not told what the severance package is going to be, just that they were going to get one.

Is this true? Talk about unnecessary additional stress, leaving everybody hanging after taking away their livelihood.

In case this is not true and people were told about what their severance will be, can somebody please post details here?

One week severance for each year, and prorated vacation time. Plus, normal pay for this week. Then, you’re allowed to come back as part-time, if you choose.

Someone told me that the severance package will be getting paid for the rest of your previously scheduled shifts, your PTO and one week pay for every year that you've worked for BN.

I believe they have to pay out for unused vacation time.

Same here, just was told the severance package would be in the mail . That was it. I too did not say good bye to my UPS guy. I was the call up person for computer issues and dealing with all types of people and I was the receiving manager. I will be thankful of the time there.

According to an ASM I know the length is one week per year you have worked at B&N. The severance pay is the amount you would normally get for those weeks. I do not know if you get payed out vacation that you haven’t used, but I was told we do not get our sick time or personal day.
