I left for a another job a while back, but I am concerned for my old co-workers. I know Receiving Managers and Head Cashiers have been let go, what about Cafe leads and part time employees? Assistant Store Managers? Cafe Managers?

This help so a lot thank you I am a cafe lead and I couldn’t figure out how to work this site and see if my job was safe. I am sad for my fellow workers and now don’t know how to feel about our company
As far as I know it's receiving managers, head cashiers, and at my store they also fired at least one part timer who'd been there more than 20 years. I did not see the newsstand lead, bargain lead, or another elderly part timer who had been at the store a long time during my shift today but I'm holding out hope for tomorrow. The kids lead and cafe lead were still there and no one has been cut from those departments. Cafe is actually still hiring baristas. We were just under the 8 million cutoff.
I work in receiving part time and am safe, but it was just me and the receiving manager handling the shipments by ourselves for eight months so now my workload has basically tripled. The newsstand lead would help when we were in a bind so I hope she didn't get the can too because no one else at the store is properly trained to work back there. I don't know if they're going to hire another part timer, the store manager was trying real hard to avoid everyone today and worked the sales floor almost his entire shift.
My poor receiving manager was in his fifties and had worked for B&N for over twenty years and used to manage one the largest store in the district before coming to our store as a semi-retirement from the stress. Decades of institutional knowledge just gone, and I can't learn from him anymore. Stupid.
ASMs are safe as long as the store makes more than $6 million. If not the store will go down to one ASM is my understanding. I don’t know why but as it stands, kids and cafe leads are safe for the time being.
Cafe managers are fine as are assistant managers and merch managers. Not sure on the status of the cafe leads or any part-timers.
