Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

As anyone posted an anonymous review on Glassdoor?

It appears Humana is reading and responding to reviews on that site now.

I have found that while humana can be frustrating at times, it’s like any company, overall, the benefits far away the negatives....I want rif yet, but if I was I would use the generous severance package offered and look for another job.

exactly , the poster below is correct, Humana is no worse than any other managed care company that is for profit. IF you guys think that a hospital cares about nurses, LOL, thats a joke, I have been a HCMRN for almost 5 yrs, I was not impacted this time, but honestly, 5 yrs ago, I was in a home health position, marketing, which I hated! So even if I had gotten RIFd I still wouldnt talk sh-- about the company, they have given me almost 5 yrs of being at home , being able to sit in my Pjs and work, not having to deal with alot of the crap that comes along with working in a hospital, etc. so I like Humana, and Ill stay as long as I can, the work is boring, but I feel like these last 5 yrs are for ME and My Family needs, Im helping people, not physically, but mentally . Maybe I just have had different positions than many of you, but this job, even with the crap that comes down, has been much less stress than any other position.

I am happy to work at humana. No position is perfect. They have a great severance package that many companies do not. It at least gives me a chance to find work without starving

After the merger failed, he did. It made no sense to embark on a total rehaul of the model of care during a pending merger. Since that, there have been huge changes to the company’s strategy, structure, benefits, market structure, commercial strategy, provider approach and compensation strategy. It happened across most areas of the company. Many others were also laid off or had job changes or got new roles and most of the changes have been positive. It’s not just you but for whatever reason this HAH group has elected to post here to vent. Maybe that says something about how things were managed or not well managed in certain areas.

So if B.B. is over ALL of Humana, why has he not stepped in when past leadership was obviously so bad?

I think one of the sad things for those of you who only worked at HAH is the narrow view it gave you of the company. There are many other area where nurses and other associates have high satisfaction with the company. There were leadership problems at HAH for a long time that we’re obvious to everyone else. That’s not the case in other areas. I feel badly for the impacted staff and the new leaders who had to cleanup the mess and are taking all the blame for past leadership mistakes.

there are 50,000 people working at Humana. Not even 10% of the at HAH. Maybe others don't agree with you and are happy working here.

I think we all need to post our reviews. I'm sure they won't be able to keep up with fake reviews to match our honest reviews

There are always fake positive reviews posted on there and indeed. Even with all the fake reviews the employer score is 3.5. I wonder what it would be if they didn't try to raise it artificially?

Really? Wow. Need to check that out. Many companies are very concerned with their online presence these days & why they don’t like this site. This site comes up in google searches with all this activity. Also, I noticed during layoff in November lots of very positive reviews oddly posted back to back after the announcement.
