Well the employees were told of the new RIFs but no official notice.......someone needs to see if HW is meeting their legal requirements on reporting layoffs to the government....even though our government does little to protect American workers....HW is starting to worry that more people will leave before they can move it all overseas......ride it out or leave for a new career...either way the end of HW employment is closer than you think.

Not so. Honeywell is a job and a paycheck and like I said I am fine working here doing a job I like for a decent wage. Not telling anyone else to move on. Simply stating to leadership that I will not continue to work in fear any longer, so for that reason I am done with R&O and ISC leadership for good!

At my R all I expect is a paycheck for the hours I work. We have been conditioned to not expect merit increases but rather feel lucky when we do receive a 2-3% raise. All is that is fine with me, no complaints and if I truly had a problem with any of it I would move on. I get paid for the hours I work and that's all this is anymore, just a job.

However, I now genuinely feel betrayed. The way management rolled out the news of this layoff is completely unprofessional and shows not an ounce of respect for the employees who have dedicated themselves to the company. No explanation or information regarding how many employees will be affected or how management is going to determine who is to be layed off. To stand there and tell us that both subcontract and permanent employees will be layed off is nothing but a giant smack in face. Clearly this is an effort to reduce labor costs. Great job leaders! Way to start off the year. You've done an excellent job making sure all your R&O employees go home to their families worried about whether or not they will be employed next month. Well guess what, I'm done! Even if you don't lay me off I have decided I will be leaving R&O and ISC for good. I will not work for leaders that have no respect or appreciation for the hard working people in this company.
A lot of posts on here are very ignorant. Especially those spouting "ISC idiots", or "Engineering idiots", or "HR idiots". It's almost comical, because it is very similar to how people act politically because our government brainwashes us into segregation. HW leadership is of the same creed. They make us focus on other functions to place the blame, when it lies directly on those in the executive level making bank. Our segregation only plays into the plans of sinking this company and ourselves. It's so sad we can't officially "mutiny".... because our captains are very clearly evil.

From a finance point, it is the laziest way to cut cost but not practical for meeting actual output and goals so what will they do? Contact employees of 30% of all workforce? Dumb sum beaches

Sad and sorry to hear. If they want a big save with no impact they need to continue cutting the 5hitty IT org and especially that "Sentie** "platform group. Zero value and zero talent. They could shut that 5h1t down today and no one would even know it and get MILLIONS in savings.
There's nothing on it anyway....no one wants to use it for good reason.
