Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Thankfully a few Womanizers of Pre-Merger HPE (now DXC) have been asked to go recently, but a few Remain. Don’t Join DXC Please

I joined HPE in 2011. Was there with the company till Feb 2017. I was working as a Tech lead at the Chennai office. The leadership during the HPE days (last 4 years especially) was one of the worst in my Career.

The Bad News:

I am hearing about the mass layoffs from my friends. This is very painful as some of my good friends had tears when they spoke with me. Instead of removing MG2s who have hefty pay checks and do literally nothing, the ENTs, INTs and SPEs are being asked to go for now reason.

The Good News:

I also heard that a handful of the so called Leaders (only a handful) have been sent our recently. I felt happy, very happy indeed. Let me give you a background. Especially in the last 4 years, a few Women employees (especially senior MG1s and MG2s) who adjust with the leaders got promotions and Roles. They are now still continuing with DXC. People who stayed with the Management in resorts in Mauritius, Goa, Fisherman-cove, Chennai (multiple times), Bangalore and Hyderabad resorts have only been getting good roles and Promotions. The hard-work put by the others is generally not considered as a criteria.

Had been a completely unethical company. Thankfully most of those folks are out now. But a few still remain.

Being a women, I would advise not to join. I thank god that I left HPE-DXC 8 months ago. Currently working as a Tech lead and I am happy now. Frankly, though the pay rise was not much here, but the company that I work for now is Ethical and Safe. I am happy and thankful. Thank you god.

LOL women are their own worstu enemies. No questions if men are promoted but women can never grow in merit. keep twisting your grapes are sour track and teach same to your daughters

Cannot blame the woman employees, they are so innocent. Who doesn't want a promotion.

Cannot blame the managers also, they are gentlemen. Due to the hot Chennai climate, these things happen. hehehehee ..

There are several doing the Weinsteins thing. Some lady managers got promotion because of these practices. Smoking and drinking and spending few nights in resort is become common thing. After all they are getting hefty salary package also, almost 3 times that of L3 engineer.

I think many of us have seen some unethical practice in DXC, ranging from double booking clients, to skating over legal regulations and even fraudulent submission of financial report (which was investigated by the Security Exchange Commission); harassment of female staff and recent corruption in India.

What makes it ironic are those ridiculous third-party ethical videos you all have all have to 'tick' to give the company its brownie points, but then have to suffer the unethical practice by management.

I've known only 2 colleague who 'blew the whistle' on practice and found themselves come off the worst and seen as trouble makers. Just don't bother. Get out now!

In fact I think everyone reading these threads is tired of the "get out now" advice. I am sure those remaining are on go-slow or switch off just wanting their payout. But make your day job one of applying for roles through linked-in or friends. Don't waste your time in there, make your last few months (or weeks) useful to you; not them!
