Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

How many HAH associates are left?

and any news on when the next layoff is occurring? Coach 100 and Coach 22 have been very quiet so not sure what that means. I am positive the 250 planned layoffs from 2018 will be from HAH as it seems like the program is falling apart. does anyone have any information

Are you an HCMSS? I have always heard 4 SS Coaches (all let go at the same time, but still here until 1/2 or early release) and our coach confirmed it yesterday. There will be 9 SS coaches moving forward.

We were told 3 hcmss coaches, was another one let go after the layoffs? There were 13; going down to 10; with 15-17 on each team?

I did not hear about a bonus or pay increase or pay incentive. I have not seen a pay increase in 4 years, and I had great evals every time.

To comment on another poster in this string...I have been in daily fear since the first lay off. Sick every day, worry, fear, headaches, my health is terrible. Every morning when I log in I have a lump in my throat when my computer takes forever to boot up, or there are system issues where I can't access the Humana network, or when I get a message about recent new "software" that has been installed on my computer, thinking today is the day they let me go. Side note: every time I go into the systems admin, I can't find what this spyware, sorry, software, is that was recently installed. Also, I had “software” installs 3 times in the month of Sept/October, then the layoff in November. Anyway, the stress is killing me. The day of the layoff meeting, my email invite WAS NOT marked confidential like all of you guys had. It said, "team meeting" and I was able to see others who had gotten the invite as well, and they were not my regular team members. I was shocked to learn about the layoff BUT....since getting my notice, last week, I am extremely happy. But in the same breath I am extremely p****d off as well. Others on my team are not better performers either and I can't understand the justification for of why me. But, I don't dread going to work, I actually have been more productive since then. I am super happy because there is a final end in sight and I can move on to new adventures. At first I was upset because it was at the holidays. I won't be doing Thanksgiving dinner (thank you Humana for giving me enough notice so I could cancel this and didn't have to spend all the money on dinner). I won't be doing Black Friday (which will save me thousands as well). I have notified my family and friends there won’t be Christmas either. No gifts or dinner. This is ok. I reflected on my life, what I have accomplished as a nurse as well as personally. This was a truly cleansing, personal awakening for me. I also thank everyone on this website since day one. I have read nearly everything posted and figured now I can speak up.

So back to the previous point. Another poster commented that we are lucky we are laid off. WE TOTALLY ARE! Think of it. If I stick around only to be Riffed in January, there may be no severance offered at all. I get to have two weeks off at Christmas (and hopefully I will have off before Thanksgiving). I get to have off through the New Year and my birthday! I get an extremely generous number of weeks of severance pay. I get to cash out an extremely fat PTO bank at my last pay check. Humana is paying me a substantial amount of money to GO AWAY. They don’t want me, that’s ok. Other companies would let you go, see you later, and nothing. I will get paid to have a long holiday vacation and paid another 20 weeks after that! OMG you are not kidding when you said I am lucky. WhooHoo! I have been looking for another job since February and haven’t found anything yet. If I did and left on my own, then I would have never been gifted this huge amount of money and been able to have off w/pay for the holidays. I no longer feel bad for myself. I feel bad for everyone still here. It WILL GET WORSE next year and you will have to experience that. I will just be somewhere else enjoying my job.

They don’t give pay rate increases, it’s called a performance incentive, so, it is not a raise, but a bonus

I really wish people would quit saying it's a "bonus." it's not a freaking bonus! IF (AND THAT'S A BIG IF) , you get that pay out it's in place of your yearly pay rate increase. You're not getting a bonus, you're getting screwed. Because your base pay is artificially lowered from now on. That means when raises are given in 2019, if you get one at all, It'll be LESS than it should have been because of that not-a-bonus check.

Although, that's probably all moot anyway, because the standards you were expected to meet this year for budgeting to get approved for it were nearly impossible. So most roles won't be getting the one time pay out either.

4 HCMSS coaches with 9 remaining, 100% sure. And one COM moving down. Has anyone received notice that they will receive the "lump sum" yet? Wondeting if that would be a clue on cuts.

Yes and next week makes no sense because they have all this reteaming going on now. It would be chaos. A January announcement makes more sense.

So is it announced 60 days before, like next week, so last Day is mid January. Or announced mid January, for Last Day in March? And forget the bonus-or performance incentives...you have to be above and beyond and it had to be budgeted this past year, so that doesn’t look so promising

A layoff on 1/18 makes sense. On the Hi page today there was info that the bonuses are paid out on 1/19 or 1/26 (depending on your pay cycle)

Actually if you look in previous post from September and October it was either coach 22 or 💯 Who stated when the layoffs were going to occur and they said their would be a layoff January 18

I actually feel that I may be luckier to have been layed off. It was so stressful knowing that it was going to happen but not knowing when. I would not want to go thru it again. Best of luck everyone.

Okay, so let’s say it is beginning of Jan.

My understanding is that if you receive notice before those lump sum bonuses go out, you would not receive the bonus due to it not really being a “bonus” but rather a lump sum of your 2018 raise.

Am I correct or am I misunderstanding?
