Who's Staying?

For those who are affected, do you plan to seek positions within the company?

The only ones to be hired internally are the nurses. They make it nearly impossible to transfer to another position. I applied to no less than 25 internal postings after I was impacted in the last round. Want to know how many interviews I got? Zero! For starters, unless you possess all of the listed requirements, don't bother to apply because you are immediately knocked out of the running. So if you want to change departments, there is a slim chance unless you have experience in that department already. I was told by a recruiter I know that 80% of jobs posted are only done as a technicality because the hiring manager already has the candidate in mind. Remaining at Humana after layoff is as likely as winning the lottery. They will hire externally before internally.

As for finding a job where you are not expendable....good luck with that! This is the 21st century. All workers are expendable at a moment's notice.

Let's put it this way, If I am lucky enough to get my notice as well, after the way I and my coworkers have been treated, God Himself couldn't pay me enough to continue with this abusive company. The only regret that I have is that they have not yet picked me. Life shouldn't have to be this hard and I am so ready to move on.

Really? You are kidding right? Who would want to continue working for a company that you are expendable at any given time! They do not value their employees!

Agreed!! I won’t be looking for another position within the company either. With this layoff they showed their true colors. I worked my a-- off for that company and put my best foot forward at all times, only for them to show me how disposable i really was in the end. They will never have the pleasure of hiring me again! Fool me once, shame on you!!

Heck no!!! My coach isn’t helpful and I’m not sure if he knows what he is doingI️ asked him a question a week ago and still haven’t gotten an answer. It amazes me that he is still employed and other coaches were let go as he is so full of it! I’m glad I️ was impacted and I️ am just waiting for my last day so I️ can really focus on looking for work elsewhere as my whole Humana experience was bull! I’ve honestly wanted out for quite some time but find it hard looking for something else after the mental drain of working 49 hrs a wk as a phc with Humana under my current leadership! The PHC job could and should be so great however poor leadership can mess that up.
