Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

30+ years at Honeywell.

Retiring after 30+ years at Honeywell. Not even a thank you from my management. Good luck. Take care of yourself and find a better job. Employees ARE NOT their greatest resource.

Now Honeywell takes the Medical Insurance from the Retiree's and Supreme Court says Life Time benefits for Retiree doesn't matter! Does that mean the Supreme Court justices"Life Time position on Supreme Court could be taken from them also if Life Time doesn't mean life time? Think about double standards on this matter! Life Time Honeywell promised to care for the worker's that made them the company that they are today and now they are stripping the Retiree's insurance that was promised to each Retiree and spouse. The Supreme Court justices and Honeywell promise they really need to know about the life that they are setting up for the people who put them in the position they have enjoyed because they are letting down the elders that received the promise of insurance in their retirement years and they teach the younger generation of tomorrow that would be the next voters and employee's of tomorrow.

Well, you got me, I only lasted 29 years. I walked myself out and called it a retirement. No fanfare, no thank you's from management. Good God almighty, free at last. That was five years ago.

Honeyhell gives nothing for a departing gift not even a thank-you for all the years of service. Slack!

So the gold watch they give you after 30 years, is it a Rolex or a Cartier?

I was a result of the WFH fiasco and got a great settlement. Part of that was HR VP in Phx. , a lower level HR person & my manager (female) . My manager opened the call with “ since you’ve declined to drive 2 hours each way to a honeywell facility, I am terminating your employment. The VP of HR promptly asked her to leave the call, I chuckled under my breath.

HR was very understanding and legal made it worth it all. After 37 years not one leader of my group called or emailed me but I smiled all the way to the bank.

My family and I are so happy and at peace with our deductions and the outcome.

Honeyhell will never be a Garrett or even an Allied-Signal so put up with it or keep looking and get out while you have your health.

Merry Christmas

It's not a new hr thing it is about how employees are viewed by the company. Just trash to be discarded.

must be the new HR direction

When I left after 34 years through VRIF, not one of my co-workers were notified and there was no recognition of the fact. I was called in from vacation to be laid off and was told I could leave that day, Wednesday or work out the week. My boss asked if I really wanted to do this, as I was not at a traditional retirement age. HR lady said nothing. I assured him it was exactly what I wanted and left his office. I said "good-by" to a few friends and left for good.

No fanfare, no thanks, no nothing. I could not be happier!

I retired after 36 years. Because our department was spread out and no one was located at my location from my dept, no good byes, thank you for your service. I refused an exit interview with HR because I had been warned it was BS. The HR rep at my site did not even know I existed.
