Cost Savings Ideas?

Anyone have any cost savings ideas besides just cutting the folks who actually do something and provide value?

I would say to start with...

1) Less cloud - these d1p5hits at the top don't realize putting stuff in the could is faster and gives you more scale but is 10 times more expensive than a private cloud. How about being selective idiots and only putting what should be in the cloud...in the cloud.

2) fire HR and outsource it..... easy fix...big return. Theres plenty of companies that do this.

Happened to run by this posting... I agree that a quick win is to shut down sentie*** and fire all the idiots that ever worked on it. I huge money pit with made up stats. Never see anything like it. We could literally cut millions and not feel it in the least.

Executives have to come on this site for ideas on how to do their own jobs and you people willingly give out information for free? BIGLY SAD.

S7q - theres a lot of made up numbers with the Sentie** platform team too. Ive never seen more slideware and made up stats.

Sent "platform" has been around for a few years now with nothing really using it. When are they going to realize its a waste and fire everyone who works on this disaster....

Sqw- you are spot on in regards to Sente! A complete waste of money and no return on investment. It’s all funny money....they delivered a piece of test equement for lab A’s use that was in lab B and therefore “saved” the $50,000 cost of buying one. One engineering director told me a couple years ago Sente was costing engineering like $2M/yr plus the cost of the HTSI folks.

The owner/CEO of Sente is a buddy of Timmy M as the Sente CEO is always says when he’s in DV talking to the engineers. Wasn’t this Sente stuff started when Mahoney was the VP over engineering and test?

Most of HR already is 3rd party, contract. And untrained, and working remote, and pretty worthless. Not their fault, Hon leadership fault. And anyone in ISC, Hon leadership plan is to make u contract too. I really like the idea of no IPhones and laptops. Managers thinking u r available 24/7 ain't right. And it would save some $.

Cut the low performers in Special Processes in Greer and cut all incompetent special processes engineers. Oh I forgot there are several supervisors and the plant manager should be cut as well. Oh I should have said cut the entire leadership team and employees in special processes and start over. Oh it may be cheaper just to shut it down.

Get rid of all laptops and only use full sized desktop machines It costs less and that way you can only work in the office and not at home. It also helps in force that stupid policy. And take away all iPhones too since we only work in the office no way per the great HON policy

I have a few and totally agree with the HR and cloud comments...

1) Shut down Sentie** platform - huge costs with zero return. I agree with another posting i saw...there is zero return...zero value with this and theres good reason no one uses it.

2) fire everyone associated with Sentie** - incompentant, clueless with no talent or work ethic. Like their "platform" zero return...zero value.

Just my opinion ...and everyone who has ever looked at this turd...

time to realize this is a money pit and isnt going to get better. Literally millions in savings over night with no impact.
