Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

i want to be in the list of WFR

My reporting line had changed recently and my manager is based in China. My manager told me I am too "new" into the list and difficult to justify for WFR due to the recent change of Org Structure.

The team feels sick and demotivated. Mentally abuse. Everyone sitting and doesn't feel like want to work. Lots of pending task.

Mike Lwarie is worse than a monkey.. this idiot has no idea how a business works. It is your good luck you get fired. You will be far better off soon.

All the best.

Make volunteering for a WFR work for you.

My spouse is getting WFR'd today. We were looking at a January/February time frame for me to move on to greener pastures. We saw this an opportunity and just took it. We will make it work.

Based on the Investors Day presentation and DXC's history with WFR's I am projecting that March with be an opportune time to volunteer for a WFR (March 2018 - bet on it). If my volunteering is approved, then great, take whatever they give me and move on. If not, then I will decided when I move on.

In the meantime, I am too busy updating my resume, studying for and refreshing my certifications, looking for opportunities for some good work to add to my resume, saving money, and working the plan for my eventual departure.

Take control of your future. Don't let their WFR schedule control your decisions.

I want to be WFR=ed too. Told them already years ago but although I saw people around me getting layed off, I am still around :-(. I am not motivated to work for DXC, but when on an assignment I can not help giving my utmost as I don't like to fail.

I hope that this time I am allowed to go!

A select few in UK&I are in the same boat as you. Everyone has been told except a few people

Waiting for an approved WFR is not your choice. You can stay on while you look for a new job (improving your job skills while you look) or you can just quit. Sometimes a job is not worth keeping.

If they need more people to leave, you will grab the chance regardless whose your manager is. Some

works need to be carry on. You still have a job still there...but less work. So beg for job - if you feel so.
