A coworker of mine just got fired with very little cause. He's the second person I know in the past month who's been shown the door unceremoniously. Is this happening all over Honeywell or is this simply a coincidence?
I wouldn't put it past them to start firing people out of the blue just to save on severance. They can always find (read: invent) reasons for it.
An engineer in Tucson was walked out today.
Maybe another new metric? Minimize severance costs to below target while meeting other "productivity" goals with head count reduction?
