Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

DXC WFR - DXC says Merry Christmas with a position elimination!!!!

After nearly 20 years on the job, was laid off a week ago, my position eliminated as a part of DXCs Work Force Reduction program. DXC held no concern over the impact this had on the sole project I was assigned to, and left the project in dire straits with no one easily able to take on the additional work I left behind.

DXC does not care about the person, nor the client, and this is an example of that!!!

DXC = Dumb Xperience Company!!!

Do what I did and approach Deloitte. I am now back on the same projects for them making 40% more building stuff for HPI and HPE then I was when I got laid off from DXC.

Leave DXC run do not walk, or at least have a good exist plan. They will get rid of everyone as part of their grand new vision. Nothing with stand in their way. We are all replaceable cogs that can be minimized or bumped over as a speed bump. SLA, agreements, timelines mean nothing to them and they are already losing new contract work to other vendors ... case and point.

Not your fault that the project ended up how it did. DXC should have had a fallback plan in place for your successor, so they are to blame for the c---up. Best advice is to take a short break whilst looking for work elsewhere. In my case leaving after 20+ years was stressful but now I am contracting with 25% better pay, less stress, more time with my family, more regular hours and not regretting having been WFR'd.

I have regular catch-ups with my colleagues that remain employed at DXC and the frustration that they continue to experience is extraordinary.

Sorry to hear that. But with 20yrs experience, just set yourself up as a consultant and use your contacts to support clients- something that DXC can no longer do - if all the contract run-offs is anything to go by.

Ger ready for a whole better life. There are lots of great opportunities out there and MUCH better places to work. Try and enjoy the extra holiday time you've been suddenly gifted and hit the ground running in the New Year. You'll be just fine. I speak from experience.

Sorry to hear about this. But trust me - there ARE other companies out there that ARE better. I speak from experience. Fortunately, I was able to get out on my own terms, and am MUCH happier.

Sorry to hear about your situation ! DXC is an A (A**hole) rated company. So, nothing surprising about this move and heartless actions.

Glad you got out of this hell hole, wish you the best going forward.
