Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Stick it out

I see a lot of people wanting to quit right away on their own due to stress, secrecy and uncertainties. But if you are already at a point where leaving CVS is a reality for you, then why not stick it out? If you do get laid off, you'll have severance to help you get through until you find a job. And if you don't get laid off, well, you still have a job.

Quitting only helps CVS as it saves them from having to pay you severance. I think part of this situation is specifically engineered to get people to leave on their own.

Just my two cents.

They need us for the month of December. Last post sounds like someone from corporate. .. FS is screwed either way, cut hours, extended hours 3 to 4 times foot traffic. Holly Jolly Christmas!

Very rarely do they offer a severance to store level employees or lay them off. They will cut their hours to the level that one would have to leave and find a new job to pay the bills

I actually agree wholeheartedly here. This is a rough time for us all, but don't give them the satisfaction of walking out. Make them pay you for some well deserved time off and focus on finding that right job. I've been doing that for a few months as it is.
