Is anyone not affected by the layoffs (yet) currently looking for new employment due to all the recent layoffs this year? Itm finding it hard to be loyal to a company that has no loyalty to its employees.

Don’t rule out other areas that hire nurses. The environment may be different and you might get a different perspective of the company.
HCM RN here and I recently left d/t the micromanagement and all the changes and layoffs. I wanted to be proactive and get out before all the other nurses flooded the market. I felt like a load of bricks were off my shoulders when I left. Good luck all that are still there dealing with the junk everyday.
NEVER worked for a company in 40 years of nursing that had even 1 layoff much less 4 in a Year! Unstable!
HCMRN here. I'm not actively looking until the holidays are over, but I am keeping an eye out in case something great pops up before then. As soon as the holidays are over though, I'm out as fast as I can be.
ilk - I could not agree more! I never would have taken this job had I known the dysfunction. A lot of people on here say not to blame higher ups. I blame them for putting me in a position that is drastically different from what the hiring & training said it was. I blame them for culture of mistrust & fear that have made this job miserable. The constantly changing focus, but then judged on old numbers. And, whoever mentioned four layoffs in one year is so right! I mean come on & then judge us all on how we perform after all this nonsense??!! Say it’s business sure - poorly run business.
HCM-RN here. I wasn’t affected, but I am looking to leave. I have only been here a few months now and every week it is a complete 180 as to what the higher ups are wanting us to do. One week it is call as many people as you can, do not have red on your rosters. The next week it is don’t worry about the red, focus on meaningful conversations and quality. We are judged off a 8.8 metric that we are told is no longer the metric in use, but everything we receive has the 8.8 as the average we are told to meet. Utter nonsense, no leadership, constant back pedaling, and confusion everyday. Had I known that this is what awaited me, I would have passed on the job offer.
I’m sure there are tons of people looking for a new jobs for various reasons. I agree with other poster about the micromanagement it’s beyond ridiculous how we are timed for every little thing.
I have two interviews next week. HCM RN . I'm out of here when I have something lined up.
Speaking from personal experience. In June I was offered a role almost identical to HCM RN with Molina. I was told HR would call me with the final details and on boarding if the pay, ect. is good. HR never called me and when I emailed hiring manager to express I was still interested in the job and never heard back from HR. She responded back with very little guidance and only said that they are going through some 'internal things'. Right then and there I thought no thanks and have also seen on Molina's site, they are not much better off than us!
Actually you’re wrong. I interviewed recently for an insurance company that has been around over 100 years and has never had one lay off. Unfortunately I could not take the position due to unforeseen circumstances but yes there are plenty of companies out there that do not have to lay off their employees. They know how to manage their numbers correctly. In my opinion four layoffs in one year is pretty ridiculous. Had I known that prior to starting I would definitely not be here. Thanks for the luck though ;-)
Totally looking and applying, avoiding insurance for sure. Trying more stable markets in healthcare. Plus, not only due to recent layoffs with company, but for the toxic micromanagement environment and constant changes. Such a roller coaster and I want off! I have not been laid off, but know it can happen at any time with HAH RNs with the whole Monitored system. I am trying to be proactive and helps to take some control back for me in this unfortunate environment we are in. Good luck to all.
Yes. It’s not even the job instability for me; it’s the micromanagement and the fact that I’m miserable as a PHC.
Good luck finding a company to work for that has never gone through a round of layoffs. It happens in every industry, at every company!
