Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Future of HAH

Last week with the layoffs within HAH, there were widespread rumors that HAH would be closing its doors in early 2018. Many had also noticed that members no longer had HCCP listed in their benefits for 2018. What is the feeling now for the future of HAH as of course we have no way to know for sure (since transparency is in name only).

Lets face it. Its all about profit. And that profit comes out of the pockets of the members/customers. People get shortchanged in benefits, pay more out of pocket. Needs, yes NEEDS get denied. As each generation grows up, they are not aware of many factors: My grandfather had no out of pocket costs. Medicare paid for everything. There was no Medicare part B until 1966. Then they started dividing it out ever since. The world he lived in was so much better in those respects than what I live in now. Most people had good insurance that paid your medical bills. The CEOs of insurance company make millions off the back of the elderly and the working class. The CEOS of hospitals make millions off the ill. It is all skewed now to see who has the biggest bucket at the end of the year in bonuses. You and I are at their mercy. So the game is to see who can retire early and well off enough to not have any government meddle with their funds. Sell off the company and retire to the Bahamas. Some people are using foreign bank accts. It leaves a sour taste in my mouth as employers used to brag about having employees with them for 30 years. Now they don't give a sh--. As long as their pockets are full, who cares. Our last President was a good example and it goes all the way to GW Bush. Younger people have no clue and history is not taught anymore. Why teach the young about their rights so they can more easily be taken away from them. There is a push to get rid of the middle aged and reset the place with the young and pardon me, dumb. Dumb enough to let them get away with what is going on and dumb enough to not know history, This is why there is a push as our whole country was going socialist and ask CUBA how that is working for them or South Korea. Our country had different morals. We cared about the poor, the needy, the sick and the elderly. Yeah, and people got greedy and did not want to work which really fricked things up. No one cares about anyone but themselves. Too many people want to be a rock star.

Actually if you were to look at last yrs benefit grid it may mot say HAH but it does say something similar to health coaching

People were asking about that because coaches / leaders could not answer.

When there are no “facts” due to extremely poor leadership and communication, rumors do spread.

Well, we have since learned that HAH has never appeared on the benefit grid and still does not and that the benefit no longer offered has nothing to do with HAH. People were spreading that rumor without any facts.
